600 Brickell’s on-site fitness center, Basic Training, is open Monday to Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except holidays and is located on the 14th floor. The facility is available to all tenants and their employees with a signed Fitness Center Waiver Form. It is equipped with cardiovascular and strength training equipment, change rooms with showers and lockers.
Towels and disinfectant are provided to users of the facility to wipe equipment upholstery clean after use as a courtesy and for sanitary purposes. Bath towels are also provided for use while you are in the facility.
The towel service is an added consideration to all users of the facility, and Elm Spring asks that they be returned to the designated towel drop location. Taking of towels from the facility is not permitted. Elm Spring reserves the right to stop towel service at any time.
Fitness Center Rules & Regulations
CHECKING-IN
Users of the facility must use their building access card to enter the facility. Users may not loan their access card to anyone or grant access to the facility to anyone. No personal trainers are allowed. All users must be always in possession of their building access card in the fitness center for security routine security identification checks.
The fitness center is the designated area for exercising. Exercising in other building common areas such as the stairwells is NOT permitted.
Please notify the Building Management Office at (305) 384-7170 immediately if your access card is lost or stolen or with any issues.
DRESS CODE
Elm Spring reserves the right to deny use of the club to any person whose attire is not appropriate for the fitness Center. Appropriate clothing is defined by Elm Spring in its sole discretion. Examples of inappropriate clothing are overly revealing leotards, thongs, shorts, as well as, cut-offs, swimsuits, sandals, business shoes, etc. No profane language or slogans on any attire in the club is permitted. Athletic shoes are required in exercise areas. No personal effects such as jackets or gym bags are permitted in the exercise, aerobic, or free weight areas.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
Users of the fitness center must use the equipment only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. Please follow all instructions carefully. Elm Spring reserves the right to limit your use of any equipment or facilities to ensure the equitable use of the equipment and facilities by all members. Users shall not move or modify the equipment in any manner whatsoever. No free weight or loose equipment shall be used in connection with any mechanical equipment or in any manner for which the equipment was not originally intended and not permitted in undesignated areas. If you believe any piece of equipment is malfunctioning, please notify the Management Office. Personal equipment of any kind is not allowed. Do not use the equipment if you are taking any medication that causes drowsiness or have any medical condition which makes such use inappropriate.
FOOD AND DRINKS
Food is not permitted in the fitness center. You may carry beverages in covered or capped plastic containers only during your workout; no glass containers are permitted in the facility. Please properly dispose of all drinking containers and refuse in the trash receptacles. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises. Do not drink alcoholic beverages before using the facilities.
PERSONAL CONDUCT
Users of the facility agree to conduct themselves in a quiet and well-mannered fashion when in or about the facility and not cause any disturbances or interfere with the safe use or enjoyment of the facilities by other users. Users of the fitness center shall not conduct, purchase, or subscribe to any commercial business or activity on the premises or solicit other users for any reason. Any complaints, including those of an emergency nature or requiring immediate attention, shall be made directly to the Management Office.
Music is a personal choice so please do not utilize free standing speakers, radios, etc. in the gym, floor exercise room and locker rooms. Be courteous to others and refrain from talking on cell phones and refrain from video recording in the fitness center.
NO SMOKING/GUM CHEWING
Elm Spring would appreciate all users of the fitness center to adhere to our NO SMOKING/NO GUM CHEWING policy. The use of any type of tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, within the fitness center is prohibited.
LOCKER ROOM
Lockers are available for use while in the Fitness Center. We recommend that members not bring valuables into the facility and that each member uses a combination lock or padlock to secure their locker while using the facilities. Please do not leave valuables unprotected. Elm Spring and Brickell Holdings, LLC are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Due to the limited number of lockers available, overnight use of the lockers is not permitted. Locks may be removed and any personal articles in the locker may be placed in the lost and found. Elm Spring and Brickell Holdings, LLC accepts no responsibility for articles left behind.
There is a limited supply of towels so please try and limit your use to no more than two towels and please remember to remove towels from the stalls, floors, benches, counters, etc. and place in the laundry; towels are not to be removed from the center itself. The towel service is an added benefit to keep users of the center from having to bring their own towel from home. Elm Spring asks that you please do not abuse and overuse. As a LEED Platinum building, we want to conserve water and resources as much as possible.
The counter space is for everyone is use so please be courteous and share the space. Do not take up the entire counter or bench in front of the lockers while others are waiting to use the facility.
Keep your clothes in the lockers while utilizing the gym and your towels off the floor. Showers may not be reserved; they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Leaving personal items in a shower stall as a way to hold the shower is not permitted; personal items may be relocated by other users of the fitness center leading to altercations or misunderstandings
No hair dyeing or bleaching permitted in the locker room or the wet areas. No glass containers are permitted.
Elm Spring reserves the right to amend or alter these rules and regulations at any time in our sole discretion. All amendments to these rules and regulations are effective immediately. Elm Spring may terminate user access if the user fails to follow the rules and regulations or for any reasons of nuisance, disturbance, or moral turpitude.
